My poetry is a vessel for storytelling, weaving together narratives of personal relationships, the interconnectedness of humanity with nature, and keen observations about society. Each poem serves as a reflection of the intricate dance between self and others, exploring the complexities of love, connection, and shared experiences.
Nature often emerges as both a muse and a mirror, grounding my words in its rhythms and metaphors. Through this lens, I uncover parallels between the natural world and human emotions, illustrating how deeply intertwined our lives are with the environment around us.
At the heart of my work is a desire to observe and question, shedding light on societal dynamics, the beauty in the everyday, and the challenges that shape our collective journey. Poems
In 2021, I became a member of the Kaleidoscope Poetry Collective, a virtual poetry group which was facilitated by DC-based writer/poet/journalist, jonetta rose barras, CEO of Esther Productions, Inc. In 2022, the Esther Books (a division of Esther Productions, Inc.) published the poetry anthology,Kaleidoscope: Women of Color Reflecting on Life which includes four of my original poems.
