Metamorphosis 2.0
Artist's Statement
Metamorphosis 2.0 is both a return and a renewal—an artistic dialogue with my earlier series of butterfly collages and mixed media works created a decade ago. In revisiting this symbolic journey, I found myself reflecting deeply on the path of personal transformation, spiritual awakening, and the resilience required to bloom in challenging times.
Much has changed—both within me and in the world around us. Yet, the butterfly remains a powerful symbol in my work: a quiet, persistent emblem of hope, faith, and beauty, even amid uncertainty. Its metamorphosis mirrors my own creative and spiritual evolution over the last ten years, serving as a reminder that growth often requires surrender, patience, and trust in unseen forces.
Alongside the butterfly, the flower emerges as a symbol of both self-care and community care—an expression of how we nourish ourselves and each other. The petals, like people, open and reach toward light, despite shadow. Together, these motifs create a layered visual language that honors personal introspection while speaking to our collective need for beauty, meaning, and renewal.
Metamorphosis 2.0 invites viewers to pause and reconnect—with nature, with spirit, and with the quiet inner voice that encourages us to keep evolving. It is my offering in this moment: a gentle reminder that transformation is not only possible—it is necessary, and often, profoundly beautiful.
